I actually got this to use myself. If my gut feels a bit out of wack I take a teaspoon in water each day until it feels fine again. It's the best quality and nicest to taste and swallow out of any I've used before. I'm sure it's great for horses too😄
Excellent quality.
Great premium product. Great for gut issues in man or beast - used regularly and in dosages advised it does what it says it will do - help heal the gut. 2nd purchase and will continue to shop here as service is great too. Fast shipping and well packed!
This is great quality slippery elm powder and the price is very good for the amount you get. Will order again.
The inner bark of the Slippery Elm Tree has been used as a herbal remedy for centuries by indigenous peoples and it is now employed by both herbal and orthodox medicines.
Slippery elm bark powder is pale pink-brown in colour and its distinctive mucilaginous (slimy and slippery) texture, when mixed with moisture, sees it applied to conditions where mucous membranes are irritated/inflamed. This includes membranes of the respiratory and urinary systems as well as the entire gastro-intestinal tract, including the throat and oesophagus.
The inner bark of the Slippery Elm traditionally is used to sooth and coat injured and inflamed tissues, helping them to heal.
Slippery Elm may be beneficial for:
* Soothing the digestive system, respiratory system and urinary tract.
* Help in the management of diarrhoea
* Managing gastric ulcers
* After care of some colic cases
* The treatment of colds, flus and sore throats
* Please Note: Avoid administering Slippery Elm to an animal that is being administered any other medication that needs to be absorbed through the gut wall.
Crooked Lane Slippery Elm Bark Powder is premium food grade and comes in a stay fresh resealable pouch.
PACK SIZES: 500g; 1kg; 2kg
