sad to say - this is NOT what we have experienced - they may be more durable - and they may bounce higher than a worn out split tennis ball that is not really holding together at the seams - well this is the experience with the one we have.

My dog has NO interest in it whatsoever - and have tried it on 3 other dogs - one held it in its mouth for more than 10 seconds before spitting it out and walking away from it -that was the most interest

after the initial sniff - none of the 4 dogs pay any more attention to it in the least - and given IF it bounces more than 2 inches off the ground I have been impressed - I would say consider what you wish to use this for
