Food sensitivities and intolerance are potentially serious problems that can result in sensitive or irritated skin, coat and ear conditions or even gastrointestinal upset. Dogs that have a food sensitivities or intolerance, also called adverse reactions to food, typically experience an abnormal response to the protein in the food. If your dog suffers from adverse reaction to food, it is even more important to feed the right food.
Hill's nutritionists & veterinarians developed Hill's Prescription Diet z/d clinical nutrition especially formulated to support your dogs skin and food sensitivities. In fact, z/d is clinically proven nutrition to help avoid adverse reactions to food.

My food /skin sensitive 13 year old toy poodle loves this food. Because he has minimal teeth the wet food is great for him Monet has been on this food for 7 years now.
I have a 12 yr old Labradoodle who has Pancreatitis, she is also a fussy eater. I tried many types of low fat dog foods, including home cooked food with raw veggies, but nothing worked, her coat lost it's gloss without any fat in her diet. Then I tried this z/d prescription dog food, both the tinned and the dry kibble and we have never looked back. No more flare ups, no more pain and we discovered that she could tolerate a sardine (her favourite treat) in her food without causing her problems, her coat regained it's previous gloss and she is now a very healthy, lively dog again. She's been on this diet now for about 3 years, at one stage we didn't think she'd make old bones, now she is showing no signs of slowing down. A great result.
Changing over from meat dishes was more difficult for me than the dog. After two days he was converted to a new way of eating with z/d
My 10mth puppy developed an aggressive case of gastro where he lost over 30% of his body weight; which was really bad because he already was on the skinny side. After ongoing studies, it came to light that he had IBS. The vet recommended me to change his diet to a hypoallergenic diet. Soon after the change, he did not only put the weight he lost, but then some. Not that he became obese. While the canned food looks like spam, my dogs loves it and eats it like a treat. Which he never did with most other canned foods. I would definitely recommend the product. But I would also recommend it to be bought from Vet-N-Pet, because they were the best price (including postage) for QLD.
