About This Product

Product Description

VAM is a supplementary source of essential nutritional factors, and is formulated for use as a routine training aid for horses and dogs. VAM can be used to treat vitamin and mineral deficiencies resulting from dietary deficiency, athletic stress, parasitism or illness.

The daily requirements for these essential nutrients are significantly higher for an athletic animal than for a sedentary pet, due to the much higher rate of tissue formation and destruction which occurs during hard training and racing.

Vitamins: The B Complex vitamins are vital for a wide range of functions in animal tissues, and are intimately concerned with energy transfer systems. These B Complex vitamins, along with copper and cobalt, are required for production of red blood cells. The need for B Complex vitamins is increased very significantly during hard exercise periods. Being water soluble vitamins, they must be taken in on a daily basis, and are equally rapidly excreted or utilised.

Amino Acids: These are not only the 'building blocks' of proteins, but they also have a regulatory function in the maintenance of nervous tissue and immune systems. Demand for certain amino acids increases with hard exercise, as the turnover in muscle tissue is particularly high.

Minerals:Iron, copper and cobalt are essential for the production of normal red blood cells, and for the synthesis of haemoglobin.

Maximal exercise has been shown to reduce Vitamin B Complex levels, and so suppress the blood counts in athletic animals. Trace levels of iron are lost through sweating, parasitism, and destruction of red blood cells.
VAM is specifically formulated to support the athletic animal under stress; to help maintain appetite, and to act as a source of readily available essential micro-nutrients.

Horses: 10-15mL two to three times weekly.
Dogs : 0.5 mL/10 kg

Available in a 250ml tub

Im still in early stages of trying this with my dogs, they still are not used to the taste but they always come back for more lol, as for results I have noticed very little in the first week of use besides stool quality improving. I have 1 years worth so will see how they go on it.
