My dog love this collar. I do too! It is secure that she can't wriggle out of it and the padding across the throat makes it comfy for her.
My dogs are not a good subject for review but I will tell you of my experience. Whatever collar I put on these Italian Greyhounds they just scratch and scratch until it drives me mad and I take them off. They have done the same with these, however, what I do now is just slip them over their heads when we go for walks as I find the Y section in front of the collar a very good restrainer. So all is not lost. I would like to put coats on them but have the same problem. I bought very expensive coats for them which were made out of wool and ended up throwing them in the bin. One of the dogs kept rolling on the ground trying to get it off. Difficult subjects. I hope this has been helpful.
This is just the collar I've been looking for. Suits my little over-excitable fluff ball really well. It is thicker, wider and very effective at restraining without the sort of jolt the other collars impart. I was using a harness but this is so much better and easier to manage. She doesn't pull nearly as much.
These collars have been designed for the unique head/neck shape of the Italian Greyhound and small Whippets. They are soft and gentle on their soft skin and very rarely cause hair loss
